Historic Preservation and Planning Group

Gray & Pape's Historic Preservation & Planning (HPP) group promotes the educational, cultural, and economic benefits of historic preservation through the interpretation of buildings, sites, structures, areas, and districts of historic significance and interest.

The HPP Group works in conjunction with other Gray & Pape groups, including the Archaeology and History/Architecture Groups and the Technical Services Department, to provide historic preservation and planning services.  The HPP Group has particular expertise in Federal and state projects, as well as projects for municipalities, local agencies, and non-profit organizations.

Federal and state agencies utilize these services to meet mitigation requirements through Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.  Municipalities, local agencies, and non-profit organizations effectively achieve community goals, such as community development, economic revitalization, and heritage tourism programs, by engaging our firm.
