Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Galveston Artificial Reef Survey Project

HRA Gray & Pape, LLC., provided archaeological monitoring, analysis, and reporting to support the Texas parks and Wildlife Department’s proposed Galveston Artificial Reef Survey Project, located in the navigable waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The proposed 160 acre reef area, located approximately 7 miles of Galveston Island, lies in waters approximately 50 feet deep. Permitted by both state, Texas Historical Commission (THC), and federal, US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), agencies the project was brought to a successful conclusion.
