Gray & Pape is pleased to announce the purchase of the company by five employees—Carrie Albee (top left), Amanda Evans (top right), Jim Hughey (center), Cinder Miller (front), and Mike Striker (back). Cinder Miller will be assuming the role of President and Jim Hughey, Vice President. This new owner’s group is geographically dispersed, with representation from the Mid Atlantic, the Midwest, the Gulf South, and the Southeast. Collectively, the new owners have worked for Gray & Pape for more than 60 years and it is our goal to maintain the legacy of the company by providing high quality work that is a hallmark of the company.
As part of the transition, all current Gray & Pape employees were retained and all projects will continue uninterrupted. We are looking forward to a very busy spring and summer, with large projects mobilizing in all regions of the company. We are all excited for this new phase at Gray & Pape, and we look forward to continuing our support to our diverse client base by helping them achieve their project and program goals while assisting them with the identification and management of cultural heritage opportunities and responsibilities. As we move through our ownership transition, we will we be pursuing certification as a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) so please stay tuned for more information on our Federal and State woman-owned status!
