Gray & Pape’s own Dr. Michael Tuttle recently attended the 26th Biennial meeting of the Society of Africanist Archaeologists at Rice University in Houston, Texas where he presented the paper, Maritime History and Archaeology of Madagascar with a Focus on the Serapis Project. His paper was in Session 24, Maritime Archaeology and Heritage in the Southwest Indian Ocean and was well attended with many attending virtually from the other side of the world. The subject of Dr. Tuttle’s paper will be a chapter in a forthcoming book about the archaeology of Madagascar.
