Gray & Pape Architectural Historians working in Albany, Georgia

Gray & Pape Architectural Historians were recently in Albany, Georgia conducting an architectural field survey of the former Turner Air Force Base where they used a small quadcopter (drone) to get a better view of some of the resources.
Pictured is the former naval hospital, built when the base was transitioned to Naval Air Station Albany, and an abandoned water treatment facility. Gray & Pape frequently utilizes drone technology to obtain greater contextual images and perspectives that we can’t get on the ground.
