HRA Gray & Pape, LLC

Established in 1997, HRA Gray & Pape, LLC, offers a broad range of cultural resources management, historic preservation planning, historical research, litigation support, and other services to clients throughout the United States.

By uniting the resources of two widely recognized regional firms, HRA Gray & Pape can extend its expertise and project abilities to serve clients at a national level. This national service expanded once again in 2009 when HRA Gray & Pape formed an alliance with Northern Land Use Research Alaska, LLC. With offices in Anchorage and Fairbanks, NLURA’s project management experience perfectly complemented the permitting expertise and range of services provided by HRA Gray & Pape to extend cultural resource management services for oil and gas development projects to Alaska. This strategic alliance became permanent in 2013 when HRA Gray & Pape purchased NLURA.

HRA Gray & Pape enjoys a reputation with both public and private sector clients for completing complex and sensitive projects to the highest professional standards. We offer the skill and resources from 14 offices nationwide and more than 140 employees.

Gray & Pape and Birch Wood Planning draw from more than 55 combined years of experience with Strategy & Planning, Storytelling & Interpretation, Engagement & Outreach, to provide an individualized approach to the needs of each community and client, using a team of experts from varied disciplines. We share the belief that heritage is powerful, and that understanding and caring for their heritage can heal and connect people and improve communities.
