HRA Gray & Pape, LLC, worked with AECOM of Houston, Texas, on the proposed Bayport Ship Channel Improvement project. The project included deepening of the channel, and a number of alternatives for widening the channel from its current width. Work also included increasing the radius of the Bayport Flare. The construction footprint of the channel widening on land and off-shore was determined once the alternatives were evaluated. Dredged material-placement alternatives were developed, and future work is expected to include marine survey of approximately 1,000 acres of submerged area.
